Log Merging allows you to automatically insert external content, such as commercial traffic logs, into your playout log at specified points. You can define merge segments in your playout log using Merge Start and Merge End markers, then use scheduled events to perform the actual merge operation from your external files.

To use Traffic Merging, you first place a Merge Start item in your playout log where you want the external content to begin, followed by a Merge End item to indicate where the merge segment should finish. The Merge Start item includes a start time that ensures the correct timed content from your external traffic log is merged. You can then set up a scheduled event using the Merge External Log File action to automatically import and merge your traffic logs at the appropriate times.
