PlayIt Manager allows you to manage user accounts remotely for your PlayIt Live system. This feature helps you control access to your radio automation system and assign specific permissions to different users.
Using PlayIt Manager's web interface, you can create, edit, and delete user accounts from any computer with internet access. For each user, you can set a unique username and password, and assign specific permissions. These permissions control what actions a user can perform, such as editing tracks, managing clocks, or scheduling the playout log. You can also set Remote Voice Tracking and Remote Studio hours for each user, controlling when they can access these features. This granular control allows you to give presenters, producers, and administrators the appropriate level of access to the system.
It's important to note that these User Management capabilities are also available through the built-in remote access server in PlayIt Live. If you are only running one instance of PlayIt Live, you don't need to install PlayIt Manager separately to manage your users remotely. The built-in server in PlayIt Live provides the same functionality, allowing you to control system access and permissions from anywhere with an internet connection.
