Database backup and restore
On one of the dropdown menus, you could provide a database backup function, whereby the database could be saved to any folder on the computer, external HD, or even flash drive. I'd hate to lose all my work if my computer should go belly up! If that happens, after Play It Live is installed on a new computer, the database could be restored. Thanks BTW, I use an external HD for all music and I have a second external HD to back up the first.

Would be nice to have a buttom or on the drop down we could select to backup data to a specific folder selected

I'd also really like to have this feature, rather than to have to start from scratch again should my computer die.

This is possible, though it's not quite as fast-and-easy as one click. I set-up desktop shortcuts to the folder where my database is stored. Then I can just copy it to a flash drive or even one of my Google Drive sync folders. As a wedding DJ, this allows me to sync the database between both of the laptops I bring to my events (one primary, one backup). All my music is on external hard drives (also synced). I just need to make sure the correct drive letter is assigned to the drive and I'm good to go.

Yes! - I agree, this would be extremely useful! our station operates 24 / 7 and over the course of 2 years we've had to set it up twice, not often needed, but would be great to have just in case!

One of My number one requests, you just need to be able to back up and would be good to even keep a back up saved ready for emergency

Yes please.

It DID happen to me. I had around 2000 songs in my library. Yes, I know...I should have had all my music on an external storage and not on the PC. Lesson learned. My PC crashed suddenly and only option was to do factory reset. I lost all the music I had. I could deal with that if I was still able to at least see the tracks that were in my library on PlayIt Live so I would know exactly what tracks to replace.

It is possible to save your music library as a .csv file. In <Tracks> there is a button to export to .csv. When you import tracks, there is an option to import from .csv I have a library of 80k+ tracks and it is a serious pain to reinitialise without the .csv option. As for the more "custom" features like policies, a backup option would be handy
