Audio Skimming
The feature I'd like to see is the ability to go back a couple of minutes to lift audio. My example: We run a sports radio station. When the big game is on what I would like to be able to do is access the logger via a web interface or stand alone piece of playback software, as not to effect the recorded log and go back a couple of minutes in time to get the call of the point and lift it as a wav or mp3 to use for a highlights package to be played during the call.

I currently use a Denon DN-F450R to record sporting events. It records an audio signal and saves as digital WAV or MP3 to a SD card. All new files are automatically created each time the record button is started. You can mark the tracks as it records to easily find the audio you wish to edit. The unit has an USB out to conncect to a PC for editing on an Audio editor such as Audacity. Use multiple SD cards (one recording-one used to transfer an event to an audio editor. Export the audio track and add to PlayIt Cartwall for instant Play.
