Auto Adjust is a powerful feature in PlayIt Live that automatically adjusts the tempos and segues of your scheduled tracks to fit them precisely to the next fixed time marker or the end of an hour. This feature is particularly useful when you need to ensure your programming aligns perfectly with specific time constraints, such as news bulletins or top-of-the-hour breaks.

When you activate Auto Adjust, PlayIt Live analyses the tracks in your playlist, focusing on items marked as "Song" type. The software then makes subtle tempo adjustments and modifies segues to ensure your content fits within the designated time frame. If there aren't enough items scheduled to reach the target time, you'll be prompted to add more tracks based on your playout pattern. Conversely, if there's too much content, Auto Adjust will soft delete items scheduled after the target time.

You can apply Auto Adjust manually or set it up to run automatically at specific intervals. This flexibility allows you to maintain tight control over your programming while saving time on manual adjustments. However, it's worth noting that any custom volume envelopes you've set manually may be reset when Auto Adjust is applied, so you'll want to keep this in mind when using the feature.
