Remote Voice Tracking in PlayIt Manager allows presenters to record voice tracks from any location with an internet connection. This feature enables you to add your voice to the station's playout log without being physically present in the studio.
To use Remote Voice Tracking, you need a user account with the appropriate permissions. You can connect to PlayIt Manager using its server URL, your username, and password. Once logged in, you can view the playout log for the hours you have access to and insert voice tracks where needed. The audio you record is automatically uploaded and stored in the designated Audio Store location.
PlayIt Manager offers flexibility in how much control you have over the playout log during voice tracking. Depending on your permissions, you may be able to edit the full playout log for your accessible hours or be restricted to only recording voice tracks and adjusting their segues. This level of access can be set globally or on a per-user basis, allowing for precise control over each presenter's capabilities.
Remember, the same Remote Voice Tracking features are available in the built-in remote access server on PlayIt Live. If you are only running one instance of PlayIt Live, you don't need to install PlayIt Manager separately to access remote management functionality.
