Duplicate track analysis by text string (partial match)
Searching for duplicate tracks in the entire library appears to require exact matches. Classical music is particularly difficult since there may be identical tracks but different spellings, or different data in the Artist, Title fields, etc. A user field to set global string parameters for partial matches would be very useful, something like: Enter number of Characters to match in: TITLE [ ] ARTIST [ ] ALBUM [ ] FILENAME [ ] and the Duplicate File function returns all matches showing the Category folder they are each in, with options of which to delete or not. Similar to photo duplicate matching where you set a slider for the degree of similarity and so refine the matches.

The duplicate file analysis feature is designed to find tracks where you have added the same file multiple times. It searches by file path, and that alone. What you are describing is duplicate *track* analysis. Do you want me to update the title?

Yes, thanks
