Clock Offset is a feature in PlayIt Live that allows you to adjust the system clock to account for internet broadcast delays. This setting is particularly useful when streaming your radio station online, where there's often a delay between your studio output and what listeners hear through their internet connection.
You can access the Clock Offset setting in the Advanced tab of the Settings window. By adjusting this value, you can synchronise PlayIt Live's internal clock with your actual internet broadcast time. For example, if you have a 10-second delay in your internet stream, you can set the Clock Offset to -10 seconds. This ensures that timed events, such as fixed time markers or scheduled items, align correctly with what your online audience hears.
It's important to note that changing this setting requires a restart of PlayIt Live to take effect. Before relying on it for critical timing during live operations, make sure to measure your actual stream delay accurately and test the offset thoroughly.
