Soft Delete in PlayIt Live allows you to temporarily remove items from the playout log without permanently deleting them. When you soft delete an item, it remains in the log but is ignored by the playout engine. This feature gives you flexibility in managing your playlist while maintaining a record of all changes.
To soft delete an item, simply click the bin/trash icon next to it in the playout log. The item will be greyed out and crossed through, indicating it's been soft deleted. If you change your mind, you can easily restore the item by clicking the restore button that appears in place of the bin/trash icon. This allows you to quickly undo accidental deletions or make temporary changes to your playlist.
Soft Delete is particularly useful when you need to make last-minute adjustments to your schedule. For example, if a song is no longer appropriate to play or you need to free up time for a live segment, you can soft delete items without losing track of what was originally planned. This feature helps you maintain a clear audit trail of playlist changes, which can be valuable for reporting and reviewing your station's output.
