Multiple Artist Splits in PlayIt Live allow you to define text that separates multiple artists within a track's Artist field. This feature is particularly useful for managing tracks with collaborations or featured artists.

When you set up Multiple Artist Splits, PlayIt Live can identify individual artists in tracks like "Take That feat. Lulu" by recognising "feat." as a separator. This functionality allows PlayIt Live to treat each artist separately when applying playout policies. For example, you can prevent tracks by Take That or Lulu from being played too close to "Take That feat. Lulu", maintaining better artist separation in your playlist.

To use Multiple Artist Splits, you define the text used to separate artists (such as "feat.", "with", or "and") in the system. PlayIt Live then uses these definitions to intelligently parse artist information, improving the accuracy of your station's artist rotation and variety.
