Related Artists in PlayIt Live allows you to associate different artists that should be treated as the same entity for scheduling purposes. This feature is particularly useful for managing solo artists who are also part of a band, or artists who perform under different names.

When you set up Related Artists, you can link artists like "Robbie Williams" and "Take That". PlayIt Live will then consider these as connected when applying playout policies. This means that if you have a rule preventing the same artist from being played within a certain timeframe, it will apply to both the solo artist and the band. For example, if you play a Robbie Williams song, PlayIt Live will avoid playing a Take That song too soon afterwards, and vice versa.

By using Related Artists, you can maintain better variety in your schedule and prevent unintended artist repetition. This feature helps you create a more diverse listening experience for your audience, ensuring that your station doesn't overplay certain artists, even when they appear under different names or in different musical contexts.
