Fixed Time Markers in PlayIt Live allow you to maintain precise timing control over your broadcast schedule. These markers act as anchors within your playout log, ensuring that specific items or segments start at predetermined times.
You can add Fixed Time Markers to your clocks or directly into the playout log. When you insert a Fixed Time Marker, you specify the exact time within the hour it should occur. You have three options: Hard, Soft, and Not Before. A Hard marker will immediately stop any playing item when the specified time is reached, while a Soft marker allows the current item to finish before moving to the next. The Not Before marker ensures that subsequent items won't play until at least the specified time.
By using Fixed Time Markers, you can synchronise your broadcast with external events, such as network news feeds or time-sensitive content. This feature also helps you maintain a consistent schedule across your programming, ensuring that regular segments or important announcements occur at the same time each day.
