Track, Artist and Title Separation in PlayIt Live allows you to control how frequently tracks, artists, and titles are played, ensuring a varied and balanced playlist. This feature is part of the Playout Policies system, which you can access through the Manage > Playout Policies menu.

When setting up a Track Separation Playout Policy, you can specify minimum time intervals between plays of the same track, artist, or title. For example, you might set a policy that prevents the same track from being played again for at least 2 hours, while ensuring that songs by the same artist are separated by at least 30 minutes. Title separation is particularly useful for managing different versions of the same song, such as cover versions.

You can apply these separation rules to specific track groups, allowing for different policies across various types of content. For instance, you might set a longer separation time for your main music tracks, while allowing jingles or station IDs to repeat more frequently.
