< Back to Features [PlayIt Recorder]
PlayIt Recorder offers you the flexibility to record audio in either WAV or MP3 format. This feature allows you to choose the audio format that best suits your needs, balancing factors such as file size, audio quality, and compatibility with your existing systems.
By default, PlayIt Recorder captures audio in WAV format, which provides uncompressed, high-quality recordings. However, if you prefer smaller file sizes, you can easily configure the software to record directly to MP3. In the Settings window, you'll find options to convert the audio to MP3 at various quality levels. For more advanced users, there's even an option to use your own encoder and parameters, giving you precise control over the output.
Choosing between WAV and MP3 allows you to optimise your storage usage and workflow. WAV files offer the highest audio quality but take up more space, which may be preferable for short-term storage or when audio fidelity is crucial. MP3 files, on the other hand, are significantly smaller, making them ideal for long-term archiving or when storage space is at a premium. This choice ensures that you can meet your specific audio logging requirements efficiently.
PlayIt Software is based in the heart of Cambridge, England, United Kingdom.
