PlayIt Recorder allows you to start recordings manually, giving you control over when to begin capturing audio in addition to your scheduled recordings. This feature enables you to record multiple audio streams simultaneously, combining scheduled and manual recordings.

To start a manual recording, use the Quick Record controls on the main window. Click the record button to open the Start Quick Recording window. Here, you can name your recording or use the default name provided. You also have the option to set a specific duration by selecting "Stop the recording after" and choosing a time. Click OK or press Enter to begin recording immediately.

This manual recording feature operates independently of your scheduled recordings, allowing you to capture additional content without interrupting your regular logging process. For instance, you can record a special event or breaking news story while your main broadcast continues to be logged as usual. This flexibility ensures you can maintain your required logging schedule while also capturing any extra content you need, all within the same software.
