Remote URLs in PlayIt Live allow you to incorporate audio content from external sources directly into your playout log. This feature enables you to stream live audio feeds or play pre-recorded files hosted on remote servers, expanding your programming options beyond locally stored tracks.

To use a Remote URL, you can add it as an item in your clock or directly to the playout log. You have the option to specify either a File URL or a Live Stream URL. File URLs are typically used for static audio files of a fixed duration, which PlayIt Live will download when loaded into a player. Live Stream URLs, on the other hand, are designed for continuous audio streams from sources like Icecast or Shoutcast servers. These can be internet radio stations or remote DJ feeds that PlayIt Live will play for a specified duration or until manually stopped.

When setting up a Remote URL, you'll need to provide the URL of the audio source and, for file URLs, the expected duration for scheduling purposes. For live streams, you'll set the duration you want it to play.
